Teacher Training Opportunities at Priestlands School

Priestlands School is a strategic partner in the Wildern Teaching School Alliance and will be in a position to offer a number of Initial Teacher Training places via the School Direct salaried routes for September 2015 in English, Maths and Science.  There will also be SCITT placements available in History and Art.

Information on these routes into teaching can be found at: https://www.education.gov.uk/get-into-teaching/teacher-training-options/school-based-training

Recruitment for these positions is overseen by Wildern School and further details of the recruitment process can be found via their website at: https://www.wildernpartnership.co.uk/

Applicants wishing to visit Priestlands School can do so through the School Experience Programme (SEP).

If you are looking to embark on initial teacher training (ITT), we are pleased to offer a number of placement days for eligible applicants looking to teach English, Maths or Science (Chemistry or Physics preferred) in conjunction with the School Experience Programme.
You can click here to register with the School Experience Programme.

Thursday 5th February -  limited places available
Thursday 19th March -  limited places available
Thursday 14th May -  limited places available
Thursday 18th June -  limited places available

The days are designed to offer potential trainees the opportunity to experience a large school in action, gaining an insight into what happens in the classroom and to reintroduce you to the school environment.  You will observe subject specific lessons and to ensure a focus for the observation you will be asked to record your thoughts and reflections.  The day will end with a group feedback session.
