Priestlands Admission Appeals Timetable for Year 7 in September 2021


Due to the Covid pandemic, all appeals will be held based upon written submission.
This is in line with the DfE’s School Admissions (England) (Coronavirus) (Appeals Arrangements) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.


National notification date for on-time applicants

Monday 1st March 2021

Date for late applications to be considered (for applications received after 31 October 2020 and before 1 March 2021)

Tuesday 9th March 2021

Notification date for late applicants (for applications received after 31 October 2020 and before 1 March 2021)

Wednesday 10th March 2021

Deadline date for parents wishing to lodge an appeal (returning completed appeal papers to the County Council)


Monday, 29th March 2021


Dates for Independent Appeal Hearings to be held

Tuesday 4th May - Friday 11th June inclusive (excluding Monday 31st May)

Priestlands Year 7 appeal hearings to be held

to be advised, but within the above date range

Decision letters to be sent

Within 5 school days of hearing

Please note:

(i) Appeals lodged after 29 March 2021 will be heard during the above dates if possible, or within 42 calendar days (excluding any school holidays) of the appeal being lodged. Appeals lodged on or after 15 June 2021 may not be heard until the autumn term.


(ii) Following the lodging of an appeal, additional papers may be submitted to the Appeals Service until 23 calendar days before the hearing. Evidence admitted after this date will be considered by the panel, but this may lead to an adjournment and significant delays.
