Business
Head of Department: Mr C Hill
At Priestlands, our Business curriculum is designed to open students’ eyes to the real world of work, enterprise, and innovation. We aim to develop confident, commercially aware individuals who can think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
Through engaging theory lessons, students explore how businesses start, grow, and succeed in a fast-changing world. From local start-ups to global corporations, they learn how businesses respond to challenges, manage resources, and meet customer needs.
Business is all around us—from the products we buy to the services we use. Our students gain insight into how businesses operate and the impact they have on society, the economy, and the environment. They also develop key skills in communication and financial literacy that are valuable in any career path.
Whether students go on to study Business further or take a different route, this course gives them a strong foundation for the future.
Please note: Business is an optional subject at Key Stage 4. Students can choose to study it as part of their GCSE options.
