School Uniform

At Priestlands School, all students are expected to wear the school uniform. Our uniform has been developed with input from students, parents, and staff to ensure it is comfortable, practical, and affordable.

Why we wear a uniform

Wearing the school uniform shows that students are proud to be part of Priestlands. It helps create a strong school identity and:

  • Builds a sense of belonging

  • Reduces pressure to wear expensive or fashionable clothing

  • Supports parents by keeping clothing costs lower

  • Encourages discipline and a strong work ethic

  • Improves safety by making it easier to identify anyone on site who does not belong

Buying your uniform

All uniform items can be purchased from:

PMG Schoolwear Shop

110 Station Road, New Milton BH25 6LQ | 01425-617277

Some specific items may be bought elsewhere, but they must match our uniform requirements exactly.

Second hand uniform

Lymington Library  very kindly keep a stock of  Priestlands' second hand uniform items in good condition.  Please contact them during their normal opening hours and they will be able to advise you of what is available in their current stock.

Help with uniform costs

If your child is entitled to free school meals, you may be eligible for a uniform grant of £60. This is available for students joining Year 7 or Year 10.

Please contact the school reception for more information.

Spare uniform and donations

We keep a small stock of spare uniform for emergencies and welcome donations of clean, good-condition uniform items

Labelling uniform

To help us return lost property, please ensure every item of uniform and equipment is clearly labelled with your child’s full name.
Initials alone are not sufficient to identify the owner.

PE Kit and Participation

If your child is unable to take part in PE for medical reasons, please write a note in their Student Record Book (SRB).

Even when excused from physical activity, students must still:

  • Bring their PE kit

  • Change into their kit for the lesson

  • Participate by coaching, supporting, or helping in another way

Uniform rules

All students are expected to follow the uniform rules.  If a student does not comply with the uniform policy, the school may take disciplinary action.
