Open Evening & Morning

Open Morning - Friday 8th October

You are welcome to visit anytime between 9.15 and 10am. Booking is not essential however if you are planning to come on Friday morning, please complete this form.

We are delighted to be able to welcome you on site again at our superb school for our Open Evening & Morning.  We know how important it is for you to be able to see the school and all the different subject areas, as well as having the opportunity to meet staff and talk to students.  We look forward to sharing with you information about our rich and varied curriculum and the opportunities open to your child as they move up to secondary education.

Priestlands is committed to being a leading comprehensive school that serves the entire community, provides high quality education across the curriculum and has ambitious plans for its continued success and development.  In 2015, we were recognised by the Minister for Schools as one of England’s top 100 schools for sustained performance at GCSE.  Since then we have continued to build on this success with our headline GCSE Progress 8 score consistently placing us among the top schools in Hampshire and the New Forest.  This is the measure that indicates how much value a school adds to each student and shows that Priestlands is consistently delivering positive outcomes for all groups of students, year on year.

We are proud of our academic record and believe all children are capable of making exceptional progress.  We encourage them to embrace challenge, pursue excellence and to be resilient in overcoming obstacles.  Above all we want to ignite in our students a love of learning which will serve them well throughout their lives.

However, Priestlands is about far more than exam results as our motto, Learn more… Do more… Be more…, implies.  Our aim is to develop well rounded young people who have the skills and attributes to be successful in life and to make a positive impact in our community.

We do hope you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to see Priestlands.  You do not need to reserve a place at either event, but please allow plenty of time for parking if coming by car to the Evening event as access to the school can become very congested.  If you are able to park a short distance away and walk on to the site that would be helpful.

We very much look forward to meeting you.
